Overview

Looking for a trek that combines raw Himalayan wilderness, ancient Tibetan culture and breathtaking natural beauty? The Shey Phoksundo Lake Trek is your answer. Hidden deep in the remote Dolpo region, this trek takes you to Nepal's most pristine turquoise lake, surrounded by rugged cliffs, pine forests and timeless Tibetan villages. Unlike the crowded trails of Everest and Annapurna, Dolpo remains untouched, mystical and authentic.

"Step into the mystical land of Dolpo - where turquoise waters meet timeless culture."

Shey Phoksundo Lake Trek offers a journey into the heart of Nepal's wild west-Dolpo, one of the country's most remote and culturally preserved regions. This trek leads you through Shey Phoksundo National Park, home to rare wildlife like the snow leopard and blue sheep, ancient Bonpo monasteries and unique Tibetan-influenced communities untouched by modern development.

The highlight of the trek is the mesmerizing Shey Phoksundo Lake(3,611m) - a deep, turquoise glacial lake surrounded by dramatic cliffs and pine forests. Trekking through chhepka, Ringmo Village, and beautiful river valleys, you'll witness traditional lifestyles, sacred sites and unparalleled Himalayan beauty.

Perfect for trekkers looking for an authentic, peaceful and culturally immersive experience, this trek requires a special restricted area permit and is best done during Spring(April-June) and Autumn(September-November).
